Lisa M. Nesson, DVM

Dr. Nesson was born and raised in South Central Wisconsin on a dairy goat farm, riding her cousin’s ponies whenever she got the chance. Dr. Nesson’s great grandfather raced Standardbreds in county fairs all over the state, and she knew horses were her own calling when she fell in love with American Saddlebreds in high school. In college, Dr. Nesson was given her first horse, CHF Master Plan, aka Rebel, who she still has to this day.

Today, Dr. Nesson and her family raise, train, and enjoy their own Saddlebreds. Dr. Nesson also enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for equine health care with many organizations throughout the Midwest, including the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Equine Practitioners Association, and the American Saddlebred Association of Wisconsin. Additionally, Dr. Nesson provides veterinary care at horse shows throughout the state and enjoys speaking at 4-H clubs, Wisconsin equine organizations, and the Midwest Horse Fair. Dr. Nesson also served as a past president of that Wisconsin Equine Practitioners Association. (Source)
