Not all omega-3s are the same. Many omega-3 supplements for horses rely on flax or camelina oil, which mainly provide alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). While ALA is an omega-3, it is not an active long-chain form of omega-3 associated with the benefits horse owners are looking for.
