Prospect Riding Center

Prospect Riding Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization on 10 beautiful acres of ranch land in Myakka City, Florida. We offer both therapeutic and recreational horseback riding and activities. All the proceeds from our recreational riding go to support our therapy riding program.

Our mission is to help individuals with special needs overcome physical, developmental, and psychological challenges through equine-assisted therapy. Our highly trained instructors provide a nurturing and safe environment for our clients to advance their physical, emotional, and social growth.

Learning to care for the horses is a big part of the therapy. All our therapy animals are retired and gentle. We strive to improve their quality of life as they age by ensuring they get as much from our programs as our riders. The relationship between horse and rider is a major focus of all our programs.
