Bowman Second Chance Thoroughbred Adoption was founded in 1998 by Dr. Richard Bowman. Dr. Bowman realized there was a need for a job for racehorses retiring in the north central states. He founded BSCTA to give retired racehorses a home while they transition into their second careers. (Source)
