Richard O. Miller, DVM

Richard Miller graduated with highest honors from Washington State School of Veterinary Medicine. For the next fifteen years, he owned and operated Summerhill Farm, a combination breeding, foaling and training facility in Lexington, Kentucky. The primary focus of veterinary practice was on reproductive and pediatric care. He was also involved with polo, fox hunting and other competitive equine disciplines.

After moving to Southern California and joining the Equine Medical Center in Cypress, he spent the next eleven years in a racetrack practice at Los Alamitos and Bay Meadows. In 1987, Dr. Miller decided to retire from the track and dedicate his practice to equine dentistry.

With over 25 years of experience and in search of a higher standard of equine dental care, Dr. Miller developed a completely custom mobile clinic. For the last 10 years, he has served an area from San Diego to Sacramento, with a 28ft. full service trailer, assisted by veterinary technicians. He is certified by the International Association of Equine Dentistry, the Equine Dental Providers of America and has served on certification teams for the last ten years. He has also participated in multiple international workshops and facilitated the certification of over 40 practitioners. When not on the road, Dr. Miller resides in South Orange County, California.
