Robert J. Wendell, DVM MS

Robert J. Wendell, DVM, MS, graduated in a dual degree program, receiving a master’s degree in cardiac physiology, as well as his DVM from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Bob practiced in New Hampshire before moving to Vermont in 1990.

He founded Aeolus Animal Hospital & Equine Center in the fall of 1992. “Dr. Bob’s” special interest lies in equine medicine and surgery. He performs all of the equine anesthesia and cardiopulmonary monitoring for the hospital. Prior to and during veterinary school, Bob worked as an equine anesthesia technician at The Ohio State University for 6 years. Bob owns 2 horses, a pony and “Babes” the Macaw parrot, who can be admired in the lobby of the hospital. In his “spare time”, Bob enjoys skiing, playing volleyball and ice hockey and shooting sporting clays. (Source)
