Ultrashort cationic naphthalene-derived self-assembled peptides as antimicrobial nanomaterials. Self-assembling dipeptides conjugated to naphthalene show considerable promise as nanomaterial structures, biomaterials, and drug delivery devices. Biomaterial infections are responsible for high rates of patient mortality and morbidity.
