Adria Schlesman, VMD

Dr. Adria Schlesman was born and raised in Westmoreland County. Her love for horses was fostered at a young age while spending time at the barn with her mother and horses, Meghan and CC. She grew up riding and showing Quarter horses through 4-H and the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). In 2017, Dr. Schlesman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Pittsburgh where she was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Equestrian Team. While earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a certificate in Veterinary Business from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, Dr. Schlesman spent the majority of her training at their large animal hospital, New Bolton Center, and she also milked cows on the weekends at Penn’s Marshak Dairy. Dr. Schlesman’s professional interests include internal medicine, sports medicine, and emergency/critical care. In her free time, Dr. Schlesman enjoys running with her dog, Sherman; riding her horse, Zandy; visiting her two Shetland ponies, Linnaeus and Maurice; and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
