Allison Williard West, DVM

Dr. Allison West is a Georgia native, with a passion for horses that stemmed from a childhood of showing on the local hunter/jumper circuit throughout the Southeast. She received both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Georgia. She then pursued a private practice internship at Tennessee Equine Hospital in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee. For the last four years, she has been an associate with Auburn Equine in Auburn, California. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding (mostly trails these days), camping, hiking, watching football (Go Dawgs!) and traveling, with a particular interest in equitarian missions to promote equid welfare and owner education. Her professional interests include reproduction, dentistry, and wound management. She married her high school sweetheart in 2019 and together they have a menagerie of animals- 2 horses, 1 miniature donkey, 1 cat, and 4 dogs. She is excited to move back to the South to be closer to family and provide excellent care to the large animals of North Carolina! (Source)
