Dr. Waring was born and raised on a small Morgan breeding farm in Northern New York. Growing up, she was very active in both the United States Pony Club and local 4-H program.

She obtained a B.S. in Biochemistry from Ithaca College in 2011 where she helped start the IC Pre-Vet club and rode on the equestrian team. She attended University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland for veterinary school and lived in Ireland for four years.

After graduating from UCD in 2015, she started a one-year rotating equine internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. There, she was able to further develop her equine skills while rotating through medicine, surgery, ICU and ambulatory services.

Dr. Waring is particularly interested in ophthalmology, preventative medicine, and client education. In 2017, she completed training for equine veterinary medical acupuncture through the Curacore Integrative Medicine and Education Center.

When not working she enjoys travelling, baking, and hiking with her husband Mike. Her old Morgan is living out his retirement at her parent’s farm, and she looks forward to finding her next equine partner. (Source)
