Dr. Warneke was raised on a small farm in rural Nebraska, where she grew up with a number of different animals. It was there that her love to care for animals was born and the subsequent desire to become a veterinarian grown. During her years of attending school at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she developed a specific interest in equine veterinary medicine.

After receiving her DVM degree in May 2012, she decided to further her training in the care of our beloved equine species and so completed an internship at Myhre Equine Clinic. She continued on as our Associate Veterinarian for Ambulatory Services after successfully completing her internship and has been with us now for over five (5) years.

Dr. Warneke is eager to provide our clients with the variety of veterinary services unique to horses out in the field and enjoys seeing the ever-changing seasons here in the Northeast. When not on the road, she is seen throughout the hospital, where she oversees in-patient care and assists our interns as needed. Her veterinary interests include equine internal medicine and lameness.

In her own time, she enjoys going for leisure rides on her two Quarter Horses (Ivory and Dust) and relaxing at home with her four cats (Caius, Laelia, Serena, and Nicolaus). (Source)
