Alyssa grew up in the Midwest spending a lot of time at the family farm in Wisconsin. She rode horses and her family raised puppies and always had cats around their home. In fact, a favorite childhood pastime was searching for newborn kittens that had wandered around the farm. Alyssa attended Michigan State University for both undergraduate and vet school, graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, and is a past president of the New England Veterinary Medical Association. She is married to business partner and fellow veterinarian Bob. They met at MSU at have been married for 25 years. Together they have two children. Patrick is age 17 and entering MSU as a human biology major. He will be one of two New Hampshire Quarterbacks in the 2020 Shrine Bowl. Ashely is age 16 and plays soccer, hockey and softball. She stays busy taking care of her pet cows, horses, ducks, cats, and dog when at home. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys camping, traveling, and many sports, including rooting for the Spartans, Packers, and Red Sox. (Source)
