Amanda Hedges, DVM

Dr. Amanda Hedges was born and raised in Portola Valley and grew up riding at Webb Ranch and Westwind Community Barn.

She spent 9 years at UC Davis completing her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. She then joined Peninsula Equine as an intern veterinarian to further her education in equine sports medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatric care. After her intern year, Amanda moved to Sonoma Valley, working in another full service practice offering elite sports medicine, as well as complete equine health care. In 2016, Amanda rejoined Peninsula Equine full time. To complement her training, she is also certified in equine acupuncture and has taken additional courses in equine dentistry and equine chiropractic medicine. Her interests include equine dentistry, geriatric care, acupuncture, and veterinary chiropractic medicine.

In her free time, Amanda can be found volunteering at the Redwood City Library or spending time with family and friends. (Source)
