Andrea Basque, VMD

Andrea was born and raised in Eastern Massachusetts where she competed regularly on the hunter/jumper circuit and helped train young horses. It was while working at a competition that she found her love for veterinary medicine.

She is a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine as an Equine Major where she received an award for Excellence in Sports Medicine and Imaging.

Multiple trips out west have led her to pursue post-graduate training opportunities in the mountains, ultimately selecting Roaring Fork Equine Medical Center for her internship year. She has primary interests in sports medicine and surgery as well as reproduction and alternative therapies. (Source)
