About Anne Kursinski

The first American to win the Grand Prix of Rome, Italy, in 1983 aboard Livius. In 1987 aboard Starman, she won three Nations Cup competitions and was named AHSA horsewoman of the year. In 1991 she was named leading female rider at the World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden, and became the second woman and third American to win the Grand Prix of Aachen. That year, the U.S. Olympic Committee named her female equestrian athlete of the year. In 1995, riding Dynamite, she won the American Gold Cup for a record fourth time and was named AHSA/Hertz equestrian of the year. She was the highest-placed U.S. rider (fifth) in the 1997 World Cup final in Gothenberg. In 1998, riding Eros, she was the first American and first woman to win the $450,000 Pulsar Crown Grand Prix in Monterrey, Mexico. In 1999, again with Eros, she won the $90,000 America vs. Europe Bohemia Challenge in Monterrey. (Source)
