Annie Chavent, DVM

Dr. Annie Chavent was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She first discovered her love of horses at a birthday party as a 6-year-old and has been riding ever since. She competed locally in hunter/jumpers and horse trials through high school and rode on the IHSA team in college. She graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and went on to complete veterinary school with honors at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. During veterinary school, she was active in the student equine club, student government, and the veterinary business management club.

Dr. Chavent is excited to join the Piedmont Equine team and gain a wide range of experience in both equine and small animal medicine. Her current professional interests include diagnostic imaging, podiatry, and internal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Chavent loves to run, catch up with friends, and make puns in everyday conversation. She looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! (Source)
