About Ashley C. Lamond, DVM

Dr. Ashley Lamond was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She completed an undergraduate degree in health sciences at McMaster University before attending veterinary school at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. After graduating veterinary school in June 2017, she completed a year-long internship at Moore Equine, where she grew into the horse doctor she is today. After her internship, Dr. Lamond spent a year working with both riding horses and Standardbred racehorses in London, Ontario at an equine ambulatory practice. It wasn’t long, however, before she was drawn back to the west, and in August 2019 she returned to Moore Equine as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Lamond enjoys all aspects of equine practice, from internal medicine to diagnostic imaging to emergency, critical care and everything in between. She also enjoys working with llamas and alpacas when the opportunity arises! In her spare time, Dr. Lamond enjoys knitting, discovering new music, hiking and spending time with her terrier cross Harlowe. Dr. Lamond is so excited to be back at Moore Equine and is looking forward to meeting everyone and their horses! (Source)

I knew Ashley as a high school co-op student and watched her work hard to get in to OVC in Guelph, Ontario. Her compassion for animals and people is far above most people I know. She is an incredibly creative, talented and brilliant person. I am so happy for her to be following her passion and blessed to have watch her grow. Miss you, Ash.
