Bill P. Hay, DVM DACVS

Dr. Hay, a graduate of the University of California Davis, is an equine surgeon with over 30 years of experience working with horses and their owners to maximize performance and quality of life. He received his surgical training at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania, and was Chief of Staff at the University of Georgia Veterinary Hospital before joining Tryon Equine Hospital in 2000. His special interests include performance horse lameness evaluations, diagnostic imaging including ultrasound and MRI, regenerative medicine (Stem Cell), orthopedic surgery, airway surgery and general surgery. His wife, Dr. Anne Baskett, is also a surgeon and his partner in practice. They have two daughters, Katie and Emma, who have grown up riding in the Tryon area and continue to be competitive riders along with Dr. Baskett. (Source)
