Dr. Brandee Baker was raised on the western slope of Colorado. Growing up on a small farm with horses, cows, sheep, chickens and dogs, her love for farm animals inspired her to become a veterinarian. At 8 years old, she was spending a day helping her family work cattle when the veterinarian told her to glove up and pregnancy check a cow. Since then, she knew she’d be a veterinarian for large animals. She participated in 4-H and gymkhanas, and still enjoys riding her mare Patches.

Dr. Baker graduated from Colorado State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During college she was fortunate enough to intern at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky for 6 months where her interest in equine medicine continued to grow. She graduated from Midwestern University veterinary school with honors in 2021.

Dr. Brandee loves equine emergency medicine, reproduction, dentistry, and ruminant medicine and surgery. Her passion is equine lameness and sports medicine.

She looks forward to starting her career in Tucson where there is such a wide variety of equine disciplines. Dr. Brandee is especially excited to join the Jackpot crew! (Source)
