Celeste B. Grace, DVM

Dr. Grace was born in Colorado, but spent most of her life on the east coast until finally making her way back to the mountains of the Pacific Northwest in 2011. After graduating from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, she completed an internship in equine surgery at the New Bolton Center at University of Pennsylvania. She spent the following 20 years primarily working in private equine practice, but too a two year hiatus to teach at Cornell’s veterinary school. Family brought her to Sandpoint, where she started Sandpoint Equine, which has now merged and become S.A.V.E. LLC.

She has participating in and currently heads one of the large animal teams for Project Samana, a non-profit group of veterinarians that travels to the Dominican Republic three times a year to treat underserved animals at no-cost to the owners. When not at work, you can usually find her in the mountains – trail-running, skiing, biking, or whatever gets her outdoors. As an avid knitter, hand spinner, and weaver, she particularly like to treat the alpacas and sheep that call North Idaho home. (Source)
