Cheryl Schmidt, DVM

Dr. Cheryl Schmidt graduated from veterinary school at Kansas Sate University in 1988. After six years in the St. Louis area, she came to Blair Doon in 1994. Her husband, Larry, was a veterinary technician with Blair Doon until 2011 when he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He died in January 2012. Dr. Schmidt has two daughters and a long-haired chihuahua named Mystery. Dr. Schmidt works primarily with small animals and performs most of the orthopedic surgeries on small animals.

Cheryl has run over 25 marathons and almost 40 half marathons. She recently qualified for the Boston Marathon. Cheryl also has fun skiing and traveling with her kids or traveling for races. (Source)
