Christie Ryan, DVM

Dr Christie Ryan grew up in Brampton in a large family with lots of dogs and riding horses. While completing her Animal Biology degree at the University it Guelph, she spent time with a dairy veterinarian in Listowel and worked as a summer student for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, sparking her interest in large animal medicine.

Dr Ryan graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2015 and immediately started working as a mixed animal veterinarian in southwestern Ontario for her first two years in practice. A desire to travel took Dr Ryan to a veterinary job in the east of England at a beef and sheep practice for another year. Now she has settled in Simcoe County with her husband, 2 dogs and a three-legged tail-less cat. Dr Ryan’s professional interests include bovine reproductive and obstetrical work, calf health, cow comfort, and small ruminant medicine.
