Colton Ramstrom

I’m Dr. Colton Ramstrom, an equine veterinarian with a focus on sports medicine and performance horses. I grew up on a small ranch in Northern California, where my interest in horses and veterinary medicine started at an early age. After graduating from UC Davis, I pursued additional training in equine sports medicine and have spent my career working with horses across a wide range of disciplines and performance levels. I enjoy combining a practical, horse-first approach with the latest advances in veterinary medicine to help horses feel their best and perform at their highest level.

Area of Expertise: My clinical focus is equine sports medicine, with an emphasis on lameness, performance evaluation, and keeping athletic horses healthy throughout their careers. I have a particular interest in identifying subtle sources of discomfort or performance limitation and developing individualized treatment and management plans. My areas of expertise include diagnostic imaging, joint and soft-tissue therapies, regenerative medicine, and preventative care. I’m especially interested in helping owners better understand the factors that influence soundness, performance, recovery, and long-term athletic longevity.
