Cory Branscomb, DVM

Dr. Cory Branscomb joins PBES as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Branscomb has primary interests in lameness detection and diagnosis, regenerative therapy and lameness rehabilitation. She is certified in chiropractic medicine for all species, with a focus on horses, from the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She graduated veterinary school from the University of Missouri where she spent some of her time outside of class working as an assistant technician in the equine intensive care unit and caring for the University’s foals and weanlings. She joins PBES after leaving Virginia Equine Imaging, a practice focused on lameness recognition and therapeutics. She has performed advanced work with imaging modalities including nuclear scintigraphy and ultrasound guided joint injections. Dr. Branscomb is proficient with upcoming therapies including regenerative treatments, mesotherapy, laser therapy, and shockwave. She specializes in lameness in both sport horses and performance horses.

Dr. Branscomb moved here with her dog, Hunter. She enjoys spending time with him on walks and if she could be anywhere, it would be in the middle of the woods on a hike. She has a goal of visiting all 50 states sometime in her life and is an avid musician that enjoys Bluegrass music. She plays both violin and piano. (Source)
