Damita Hansen, DVM

Dr. Hansen grew up in the valley surrounded by horses. After moving through the pony club levels, she did her undergraduate degree at St. FX before moving to PEI to complete her veterinary degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College.

After graduation, Dr. Hansen completed an internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Virginia. Eager to come home, she jumped at the chance to return. At Cornwallis Vets, Dr. Hansen works mainly with horses, with a special interest in dentistry, wellness, lameness and performance horses.

In 2020 Dr. Hansen completed her training to become a certified veterinary chiropractor; she offers this service to both horses and small animals. (Source)
