Danica Wolkowski, DVM

Danica grew up in the Fraser Valley outside Vancouver, British Columbia and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started riding lessons when she was 7 years old and what everyone thought would be a phase developed into a lifelong passion. She was involved in 4-H, Jumpers and 3 Day Eventing with her thoroughbred gelding, Monty. Horses were always her focus growing up, but it was hard to find her without a dog, cat, cow, or even a pig nearby.

Danica moved to Saskatchewan for her undergraduate education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science and minor in Toxicology. She continued on to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon and completed her DVM in 2018 where she graduated with recognition in exceptional equine care. Her interests include equine surgery, emergency/critical care, anesthesia, and medical imaging.

In her spare time, Danica can be found going on adventures with her husband, Jordan, and their two dogs Lucy and Chibs. She also enjoys entertaining family and friends, spending time at the family farm, riding horses, and being outdoors.
