Daniel Devis, MVZ DVM

Dr. Daniel Devis was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He acquired an interest in horses at a young age at his parent’s farm, where his dad taught him everything about the traditional Colombian cowboy style riding, herding cattle and roping. He attended San Martin University in Bogotá, Colombia and received his Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry degree in 2012. Daniel completed a year and a half rotating internship in surgery and anesthesia, followed by a two-year fellowship in equine lameness and diagnostic imaging, both at Lexington Equine Surgery & Sports Medicine. Dr. Devis obtained his American Veterinarian license in 2017; his areas of interest are show horses, pre-purchase exams, and basic ambulatory work.

Dr. Devis enjoys very much the life in the bluegrass and his free time, he is an avid golfer, but you can also see him at a tennis court or just taking pictures since photography is one of his passions.

At R&R he expects to expand his clientele both in the sales world and in the show horse industry. Provide an excellent service and to make sure every horse get treated the right way. Learning every day is always welcome, especially if it’s coming from the experience veterinarians of the R&R ambulatory team. Eventually he will like to become a partner at R&R equine hospital.
