Danika Sorensen, VMD, cVMA

Our vet clinic has been busier than ever, as you well know if you have paid a recent visit to our hospital. We have hired additional staff to meet the increased demand for quality and compassionate veterinary medical care within our practice area. Many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Danika Sorensen, who joined our Longwood family in January 2020.

Dr. Sorensen graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. After graduation she completed a one year small animal medical and surgical internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus NJ. She went on to practice emergency veterinary medicine at well-respected practices in Florida and Delaware. She has a particular interest in emergency medicine, specifically in cases involving toxicology, but finds she enjoys the lasting relationships she’s forming with clients and patients as at our primary care practice. Dr. Sorensen is currently pursuing a certification in both small- and large-animal medical acupuncture. When she is not immersed in her work or studies, Dr. Sorensen rides horses, enjoys the ocean, and can often be found hanging out with her dog, Raymond. (Source)
