My apprenticeship started in 2002 . I grew up with horses ( there was a barn / farm behind where I grew up ) I rode and enjoyed horses the majority of my life . I was able to further expand my passion for horses when I met Tim Phillips , from Mertztown. I apprenticed with Tim and we became close friends.
I furthered my knowledge and berated myself in the field by joining the AFA , and going through their certification process. I also joined the WCB ( World Champion Blacksmiths ) they have the majority of the best farriers in the word amongst them and help each other to excel through sharing knowledge and by competitions.
I have been involved with the PPFA , Pennsylvania Professional Farriers Association ( treasurer ) , DELMARVA , MFA, MEFA along with other Farrier organizations.
I went to Cornell’s Veterinary Farriers Conferences for many years .

which I set up not to just get my self out there but to get good reliable information to anyone in the equine community that is looking for information.
I provided services for all disciplines of riding . Pleasure , hunters , jumpers , dressage, eventers , timber, trail , western , team penning , carriage , some gaited ( mostly to help another farrier / friend that does them )
Draft horses in the past up to Scotch Bottoms. I enjoy therapeutic work , and have had a good deal of experience in this area, working at “Our Farm”in Worchester ,PA( owners passed away ) they had up to 400 head of horses at different time , and covered everything from show horses to, dressage , western , breeding , race horses …
Tim provided farrier services to this stable for years and then passed it on to me when he was content with the stables closer to his home.
I look to provide the best service possible for the horses that I work on , along with good communication with the owners , trainers and veterinarians in order to keep the horses health and soundness first.
