Delaney Sweeney, DVM

Dr. Delaney Sweeney is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical rotations at Texas A&M Veterinary School and fell in love with the great state of Texas. She was actively involved in research and clubs throughout her veterinary education and traveled to South Africa for a veterinary externship program. Her passion is equine medicine, but she enjoys working with all large and small animals as well. She is an active member of the AAEP and is expanding her knowledge in equine reproduction

“Dr. D” grew up on a ranch along the Missouri-Arkansas border, where her passion for animals was born. She started riding horses before she could walk and has been involved with horses ever since. She learned to work livestock at a young age and enjoys helping her family on the ranch. She was an active member of 4H and FFA and participated in local fairs and livestock shows. Her equine experience is quite diverse, spanning from dressage and eventing to western and rodeos. When Dr. D is not hard at work, she enjoys being home with her son, Houston, her two dogs, Leuka and Blue, and her horse, Clifford. She enjoys spending time at the beach, helping out at her church in Alice, and simply enjoying life.
