Owners Don and Barb found a need for a horse boarding facility focusing on the horse; a facility which treated horses in a humane and loving manner and where the boarders to experience the tranquility of a country setting. Together, in 1979, they started DonBar Farm located just north of Chicago along the Wisconsin border. (Source)
