If you intend to find a reputable horse trainer in the area BEWARE, do NOT bring your horses here.

Sharla the owner of the place took my horse for six months, she disclosed to the next trainer she had only been on the horse one time!!!! She took my horse off her property without asking or quite frankly at the very least didn’t just inform me that she was going to drop my horse off at another persons property and leave him there for weeks. When I asked where my horse was, she explained the horse was out tracking cows. Luckily for me the person who referred me to Sharla was the one she dropped my horse off to. I contacted them, excited my horse was tracking cows, and was informed the horse doesn’t even know how to walk in a straight line.

Then, get this, she demanded me to pay her $5k! I would have been happy to pay that had I received a trained, shoot, even green broke horse, but nope. I trusted the fact Sharla is a community member, and was referred by a community member. I should have never done that. It’s as if she forgot about my horse altogether. Sad part is, I asked her to train my horse for my son, who was in the local 4-h – I gave her six months to get this horse ready. He was not ready. So, as consolation I was going to buy another horse from her. One had a bad knee, very swollen. The other one she actually put a saddle on, and he was lame, completely limping. I told her the horse was limping, and she says ” oh yeah I see it now”, after she was already riding the horse. We left without a rideable horse that day, and then we went to look at my horse she had trained well enough to track cows.

Yep, the horse knew nothing. Then get this the lady blamed the horse!!! I confronted her, and took my horse from the other peoples place. It gets even worse folks: She then told me I was banned from her property. Okay cool ban me, I don’t want to have anything to do with your place. Buuuuuttt, then she has a 4-h horse show at her property, she informs 4-h that I am not allowed on the property. Fine. But what about the kids? She would do that to children? Well, that is evident, because look how she treated my horse. This is not a good community member, or someone to trust when it comes to your loved ones, either four legs, or two.

When she demanded the money, I confronted her, and asked how many times she had ridden my horse. She had no answer. She had only excuses.

We went in to this excited we were going to get a wonderful horse, and it turned in to a horse owners worst nightmare.
