Edris Abreu, DVM

Dr. Abreu was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and moved to Georgia as a teenager. He received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Georgia, working in the radiology department of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the same time. He then also completed his veterinary degree from the University of Georgia Veterinary School in 2008. Following graduation he completed a year-long surgery internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky.

He then moved to Camden, South Carolina where he worked at Palmetto Equine Clinic for five years. The majority of the patients were show horses, and thoroughbreds in training as well as steeplechasers. In 2014, he and his family moved to South Florida and he began working for Burch and Burch, DVM . In the summer of 2016 he began working for TFB Equine.

Dr. Abreu is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners. (Source)
