Elizabeth F. Martinsen, DVM, MS, ACT

Dr. Elizabeth Martinsen received her DVM degree in 1989 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a Master’s Degree in Equine Reproduction at Texas A&M University in 1993. After completion of a 3-year residency program at The Ohio State University, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology. She worked at Specifically Equine, Buellton, California, for approximately two years and then returned to Ohio where she worked for Firethorn Equine from 1999 until 2005. She started Bella Vista Equine in 2005 and became affiliated with Dr. Peter Meuse in 2010. Dr. Martinsen has given many presentations and lectures in the United States and internationally during her career and she enjoys teaching and sharing her passion for equine reproduction. (Source)
