Profile
About Elizabeth Lee, BVM&S MRCVS
Dr. Liz Lee knew from the age of four that she would be a veterinarian. She grew up with a menagerie of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, lizards, a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a turtle. Her parents were very supportive of her dream and she started volunteering at a veterinary hospital as soon as she could.
She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate degree, where she met her husband Ryan and adopted their two dogs, Thai and Brody. There she also learned how to ride and train horses, how to work with and train dogs, sailed competitively on the sailing team, and spent as much time at the veterinary school as she could.
After graduation she spent a year working in equine pharmaceutical research. She and her family then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where she completed her veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh. There she also completed a research project looking at peripheral caries in horses (published in Equine Veterinary Education) and completed a certificate in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and Chronic Pain Management (GPCert(WVA&CPM)).
After finishing her degree the family moved back to California where she completed an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. Now she owns High Tide Veterinary Services. Dr. Lee looks forward to meeting you and helping your pets, or your practice, move smoother. (Source)
