Elizabeth Shiland, DVM

Dr. Liz Shiland has practiced in Ontario since 2008.
Originally from Maine, she attended veterinary school in Prince Edward Island, and after graduation came to Ontario to pursue a career in sport horse medicine. With a strong interest in Standardbred racing and show horses, southern Ontario was a natural fit to start her own practice in March 2016.

Dr. Shiland has been actively involved on the Ontario Association of Veterinarian’s Equine Welfare Committee for several years. She has also enjoyed participating in Equitarian Initiatives, helping working equids around the world and has volunteered on trips to Haiti and Mexico.

When not working with horses, Dr. Shiland enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, beekeeping, and spending time with her young son Adrien and husband Eric. (Source)
