Erica Jones

While working on the thesis for her bachelors of psychology at Saint Leo University, Erica interviewed a therapist who specialized in equine facilitated therapy. Exploring the emotional connection between humans and horses during her studies piqued her interest even more in equines. After graduating she immediately threw herself into the horse world, taking lessons and volunteering several times a week for six years until she finally became the guardian of her first horse, Logan. Before long she knew she had to build her own equine sanctuary and purchased property in the Spring Hill area so she could care for her horses full time. Taking a keen interest in the health and wellbeing of her own horses she began researching equine psychology, physiology, equine zoology, and natural hoof care in her own time to ensure they got optimal care. Before long she found herself training in Reiki and Equine Bodywork to care for her own horses. Recognizing the struggles many horses and their owners go through, she decided she could further her studies, getting certified as a Myo-Manipulative Functional Therapist (equine massage) & Animal Reiki Master, so that she could offer her assistance to other horses and horse owners in need.
