Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Erica Paxton completed her undergraduate education at Louisiana Tech University and obtained her veterinary degree from Louisiana State University. Horses were a big part of her life growing up, and she chose to focus on equine medicine during veterinary school. Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, TX. (Source)
