Erika L. Schumacher, DVM

Dr. Schumacher has a bachelor of science degree in biology, health science and chemistry from Valley City State University, and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University – College of Veterinary Medicine. An active member of the American Veterinary Association and having a special interest in equine and food animal medicine and surgery, she joined WDVC in June of 2013. Dr. Schumacher and her husband Don have a son named Ryan and are the pet parents of two dogs, Rebel and River, two cats named Meow Meow and Brio, and six horses, Jake, Lexi, Traveler, Tumbler, Tuffy and Tacro.
