Erin Peterson

With two equine-loving parents, Erin’s passion for horses has been coursing through her veins since the day she was born. What began as weekend trail rides on the beach quickly turned to jumping lessons with trainer Nancy Hey in Portola Valley, California. Erin was the typical “Barn Rat” kid, spending afternoons and weekends at the stables, whether she had a lesson or not, doing chores, grooming horses, and watching trainers ride and teach. She showed as much as her parents allowed her to, just a handful of shows a year, riding in the pony, hunter, and equitation divisions on the ‘A’ circuit in Northern California. In the fourth grade, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she wrote, “A horse trainer.” (Source)
