Evan Scott, DVM

Dr. Evan Scott grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas where he split his time between his Father’s house in the city and his mother’s horse ranch in Wise County, Northwest of Fort Worth. Dr. Scott completed his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Science, at Texas A&M in 2011 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2016. After vet school, Dr. Scott began his equine veterinary career in show horse and sports medicine at Equine Athlete in Pilot Point, Texas. From there he moved on to South Florida where he worked on polo and jumping horses before moving back home to Texas coming to Brazos Valley in early 2021.

Evan’s main interest is Equine Sports Medicine. He enjoys combining therapies from multiple disciplines and modalities to achieve the best possible results for horses and riders including; classic Western Sports Medicine, to chiropractic, to Eastern medicine-based acupuncture. He has been a show vet for numerous national and regional shows in the United States and Canada. He holds licenses in several states and providences across North America, and attends courses held by the International Society of Locomotive Pathology, ISELP.

Evan now calls Hockley home where he lives with his dog, Carlos and his cat, Murphy, whom he shares joint custody with BVEH. When he’s not working on performance horses, Evan enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, spear fishing and ice hockey. (Source)
