Furlyn Farm & Stables is an English riding facility in Sussex County, New Jersey, dedicated to developing confident, knowledgeable riders in a safe, supportive environment. We specialize in Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers, and introductory Dressage for children, teens, and adults—from first-time riders through riders preparing for competition.

Our lessons emphasize correct fundamentals, horse care, safety, sportsmanship, and long-term rider development. Instruction is tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are riding recreationally or pursuing competitive success.

The facility features an indoor arena with premium GGT footing, a full-size outdoor arena, quality lesson horses, and experienced instructors committed to helping every rider progress at their own pace.

Education: Furlyn Farm & Stables employs experienced equestrian professionals with practical training in hunter/jumper instruction, horse management, equine care, and rider development.

Geographic Area Serviced: Sussex County, NJ and surrounding areas, including Green Township, Newton, Sparta, Andover, Byram, Hackettstown, Blairstown, Hamburg, Franklin, Vernon, Lafayette, Branchville, Hopatcong, Stanhope, Ogdensburg, Wantage, Hardyston, and parts of Warren and Morris Counties. Riders typically travel from within a 45-minute drive of Furlyn Farm & Stables.

Area of Expertise: Furlyn Farm & Stables provides professional English riding instruction for children, teens, and adults, from first-time riders through intermediate and competitive riders. Services include private and group lessons in Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers, and introductory Dressage, horsemanship education, horse care instruction, schooling show preparation, rider development, and summer riding camps. We also offer limited boarding with priority given to active lesson clients. Boarding may be available to outside horses on a selective basis when space permits and the horse is a good fit for our program.

Types of Horses: Lesson horses, privately owned horses, Hunter, Jumper, Equitation, Dressage, and pleasure horses. We primarily work with English riding horses and ponies suitable for beginner through intermediate riders.
