Gina Zambrano, DVM

She grew up in Rhode Island and was involved in 4-H and FFA through her middle school and high school years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Science from the Univesity of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010. During college she participated in the riding program, student horse boarding co-op, dairy cow group, and was vice-president of the sheep group. Gina attended veterinary school at the University of Florida and graduated with her DVM in 2014. During vet school, Gina did a research project with the Merial Veterinary scholars program. Gina worked as a general practitioner at a large animal practice in Brooksville, FL. She worked on a variety of horses, sheep, goats, camelids and cattle during her 31/2 years there. Gina has special interests in equine sports medicine and ruminant medicine. In her free time, Gina enjoys riding her Thoroughbred mare “Azalea” and competing at local and rated hunter shows. (Source)
