Heather Baker, DVM

Dr. Baker is the owner of Monterey County Equine, Inc.

Dr. Baker graduated from UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has been practicing in Monterey County since graduation.

She grew up in the horse country outside of Philadelphia, PA and has an extensive background in hunters/jumpers, eventing, dressage, and fox hunting. She moved to California in 1989 to complete high school in the bay area (Danville, CA) and completed her undergraduate degree at UC Santa Cruz prior to heading to UC Davis for Veterinary school.

Dr. Baker worked as an associate for another veterinary practice in the area prior to starting her own practice in 2004.

Having practiced for 22 years, she offers exceptional experience. Her special interests are lameness and sports medicine, dentistry, and reproduction. Dr. Baker also enjoys working with small ruminants. (Source)
