Heather J. Finn, VMD, cVMA, cIVCA

Dr. Finn grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She developed a love for horses at a young age, riding, participating in 4-H, and volunteering with a therapeutic riding program. Dr. Finn graduated from Tufts University in 2007 with a BS in Biology and Spanish. She soon moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Her studies focused on sports medicine and surgery, and she was awarded the Large Animal Surgical Award.

After graduation, Dr. Finn returned to New England for an internship at Fairfield Equine Associates in Newtown, CT, where she received in-depth training in equine sports medicine and also managed medical and surgical cases. There she got her first taste of the value of acupuncture and chiropractic medicine for the sport horse. Dr. Finn returned to Pennsylvania after her internship, where she worked for two well-regarded practices: Sports Medicine Associates of Chester County and Blauner, Vecchione, Buchholz and Associates. While there she continued to practice sports and general equine medicine and completed her training in acupuncture through OneHealthSIM (now CuraCore) and her chiropractic training through Options for Animals.
