Dr. Wilson became interested in laboratory animal medicine while studying physiology and biophysics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC); she was particularly drawn to the nexus it provided between veterinary medicine and clinical research.
After earning her master’s degree at UIC, Dr. Wilson pursued her interest in clinical research at Northwestern University where she managed a clinical dermatology laboratory for several years. While earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University, Dr. Wilson further advanced her interest in managerial excellence by concurrently earning a Master of Business Administration.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Wilson’s research interests include laboratory animal medicine management, animal welfare and behavior, and dermatology.
