Helen Frances Sims, DVM

A Colorado native, Dr. Helen Sims obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, as well as a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Colorado State University. Following graduation, she completed a prestigious internship at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic in Salinas, CA. During this internship she managed complex medical and surgical cases under the guidance of excellent mentors and developed a passion for performance horse medicine. She also worked as an ambulatory practitioner outside of Portland, OR, refining her skills as a general practitioner prior to joining the team at Evergreen Equine Veterinary Practice. When she isn’t working, Dr. Sims enjoys riding her OTTB, cooking and exploring with PNW with her dogs. (Source)
