   Our experience at Horseshoe Creek Riding with Gary was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Gary, a true cowboy guide, was ready and waiting with horses already tacked up. His genuine enthusiasm for his horses and sharing the stunning beauty of West Virginia was immediately apparent.
   We enjoyed a full three hours of exhilarating riding that went far beyond a typical, predictable trail, you will NOT be in a pony ride circle . This was an adventure! We navigated challenging terrain, splashed through rivers, climbed steep hills, and even enjoyed the occasional trot. Gary’s deep knowledge of the area was evident, and we felt completely secure in his capable hands, even joking about the absence of bears and panthers!
   The highlight of our ride was undoubtedly the breathtaking waterfall. Gary thoughtfully captured the moment by taking photos of our entire group. For future riders, comfortable attire and a drink are definitely recommended. As a special treat, bring along some apples – Gary will happily let you feed them to his horses after the ride. Helmets are available for those who wish to use them. Gary struck the perfect balance between friendly conversation and allowing us to immerse ourselves in the quiet peace of nature. His two wonderful blue heelers, expertly trained to scout ahead, were a delightful bonus, and the kids especially loved their playtime with them.
   Be aware that Horseshoe Creek Riding is nestled deep in the countryside, so relying solely on GPS might be tricky. It’s wise to have written directions handy as cell service can be unreliable. Trust us, this incredible adventure is absolutely worth the journey!
