Jackelyn L. Snyder, DVM

Dr. Jackie Snyder grew up working on the family farm and ranch in Nebraska. While in undergrad at the University of Nebraska, she explored her equine interests by participating in the Kentucky Equine Management Internship. While working in the barns on a progressive thoroughbred operation in the Bluegrass, she realized that she had become greatly interested in the medicine practiced by the farm’s veterinarians.

After graduating from the combined University of Nebraska and Iowa State Veterinary School Program, Dr. Snyder joined Hagyard as an ambulatory veterinarian. Her professional interests include general field care of the mare, foal, and yearling, but she has a special interests in ophthalmology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging and lameness.

In addition to her commitment to the Thoroughbred stud farms, Dr. Snyder also works with many sport horse clients who are dedicated to retraining and showing Thoroughbreds in other disciplines. (Source)
