Jackie Bellamy-Zions

Jackie is a lifelong horse person with over 30 years of experience coaching, primarily dressage and event riders. An NCCP Certified Level 2 Coach, dressage judge, equine health and welfare journalist, and Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner, she blends scientific literacy with a compassionate, evidence informed approach to equine bodywork and functional movement. A passion for horses has been the driving force enabling global travel as a trainer, stable manager, coach and competitor. A love of the sport and the desire to give back resulted in the accomplishment of coaching levels. With an insatiable desire to continue learning, Jackie is always upgrading her skills and sharing knowledge with her clients.

Area of Expertise: Jackie brings a unique blend of equine experience, anatomical curiosity, and scientific literacy into all her work with horses. As a certified coach, she has spent many years helping riders develop deeper, more harmonious connections with their horses while building strength, flexibility, and confidence. Her approach is grounded in a deep appreciation for equine behaviour and the interconnected structures that support healthy movement. Drawing on extensive experience interviewing leading equine researchers and translating complex science into accessible articles, Jackie also brings a thoughtful, evidence-informed perspective to every session. She is particularly passionate about understanding how patterns of tension and compensation influence dynamic balance, and how gentle, targeted release work can restore ease, range of motion, and overall well being through bodywork. Whether working with performance horses, aging companions, or those recovering from injury, Jackie’s sessions are guided by curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to listening closely to each horse’s unique needs. She aims to create a supportive environment where horses can soften, rebalance, find a more functional and balanced posture, and move with greater comfort and range of motion.
